Tips for Collectors:Beginner
Beginners in Numismatics may start their collection in one of the following ways.
1. Circulation coin sets on each country
-Collect a set of the latest circulation coins during travel to these countries by their own or by friends
-Try to collect these in uncirculated status as far as possible
-Purchase starter albums for these coins
-Use coin holders for better protection for the coins. This will enhance the value of the coins
2. Starter collection albums on specific country
-Some countries do have starter collection albums for beginners. For example, Fen(Cents) album of Chinese coins, state quarter of Canadian coins and the Euro album may set out goals for beginners to achieve.
3. Specialize in coins of the collector's country
-Some numismatic starters may choose to start collecting from their countries' coins. This in fact is far more convenient in purchase and accumulation during normal daily lives. On the other hand, coins of their countries may be more familiar to them, and they may feel it more compassionate when behind stories of the coins are found.
